Kickboxing has its roots in karate but the emphasis is on the sports element of it. It loses the
kata (prearranged patterns) element of karate but this is replaced with a large focus of fitness,
conditioning and technique. This has allowed kickboxing to become a martial sport in its own right.
Aman has several years' teaching experience, having worked with literally hundreds of children, teenagers and adults of all abilities (and total beginners) and each lesson strives to be fun, productive and challenging.
When are where do classes take place?
Classes take place on Fridays. The sessions are 1 hour long (7:00 - 8:00 pm) and are based in a convenient location in the heart of Melton Mowbray with on-site and on-street parking.
What equipment do I need?
Just come along in loose, comfortable clothing.
Is kickboxing safe?
Our classes are based on pad and bag work so you can learn all techniques in a safe environment.
Will I get bored?
We absolutely hope not! The sessions are specially designed to high-intensity, burn calories and every lesson aims to be different to the last with pads, bags, skipping, cardio, teamwork and games all being incorporated into the classes.
I'm unfit and/or nervous. Is kickboxing for me?
Kickboxing is a highly "pick-up-and-play" style of martial arts and getting people progressively fitter is a core aim of our sessions. Also, our instructor is very welcoming and prides himself on delivering fun, friendly classes.
